2013 Blogging Lessons

2013 has been a GREAT year!

I started this blog as a way to share my creations, 

and connect with others that like to craft.

As I look back, I can see small gains in improving 

my blogging abilities, and thought I might share them.

Valentine Collage Tutorial

I have had creative block for several weeks. 

I just couldn't seem to get my creative mojo started.

Christmas projects were left unfinished,

 and my craft table was a mess.

So, today I packed all my Christmas craft gear up...

cleaned my desk {a little bit}, and sifted through my stash for 

Valentine papers and embellishments...

To get my crafty juices flowing again I decided to make 

Valentine themed collage papers...and no pressure to get it just right.

Christmas is pretty much the crafters optimal holiday...

with plenty of opportunities to display our talents...
ornaments, cards, tags, wrapping,

 holiday decorating, baking, gifts to make and give...

But Valentines Day is a close second
...after all who doesn't like getting a Valentine?

I spied these cute black birds at the Dollar Store...

I knew at once I had to have a one or two...OK 6 of them, plus an owl...and a couple of pumpkins

to recreate the cute Halloween decorations I saw on Pinterest.

Halloween Hauntings

I love fall.

I especially love Halloween!

Candy, costumes, pumpkins to carve, pies to bake, leaves to rake...

I love it all!

I have started early creating Halloween themed banners and garlands.

Crafty Cards

I am having a great time playing with all my reorganized craft supplies...

Last week, I blogged about about paper and supplies I have hoarded {here}, waiting the perfect craft project to come along before I cut the paper, and use the supplies...because when you find a really cute paper or embellishment, once they're used that's it...they can't usually be found again because lines are discontinued to make way for new products.

So here are a few cards I have made...I really like making cards because they are the perfect size...a scrapbook page is too intimidating, even when I have a good plan, finding a picture, cropping it just right, etc...well it's all just too much!
