Hello Blog Friends!
I want to say a big THANK YOU to all my followers!
It is thrilling to see visitors and comments!
I have been on an unplanned bloggy break!
Lol, the start of the new school year has really blown me off course creatively.
I am enrolled in our local university, as some of you know, pursuing a new direction, career wise.
My goal is to become a Speech Language Pathologist.
I have learned some interesting things about language. Phonetics, tongue placement, articulators, and the pharyngeal cavity and I are on intimate terms.
My favorite class is American Sign Language. I come home and practice on my kids!
Hopefully, soon I will have a creative streak and have something to post!
Until then I invite you to check out my Pinterest Board Mixed Media Inspiration
xoxo

Wow! I'm so in awe of anyone that can go back to school at our advanced ages!!! LOL!! Really, I find it hard enough just to keep up with a full time job, family, home, crafting, blogging, holidays... and the list goes on! On another note, our son, has been in speech therapy since he was 3 years old. He hears, but has a limited number of words and uses adapted signing. He is 28 now and still goes to therapy and his verbal skills have come a long way in the past five years. Speech therapists are angels in my book! Good luck to you!
ReplyDeleteWow, you guys likely know more about speech therapy than I ever will! I became interested in Speech Pathology after many years of working in acute hospital based rehabilitaion as nurse, working with patients that had swallowing, cognitive and language impairments from brain injuries, strokes... Thank you for the luck, lol I going to need it!
DeleteI know you will soar in your classes. I miss you so much my friend. Hope to see you soon, Take Care.
ReplyDeleteCiao Ciao
